Education

Tim received his Bachelor’s Degree in English, Magna Cum Laude, from Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences and his law degree from Fordham University School of Law where he was an Associate Editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media, and Entertainment Law Review.


Experience

Tim McAuliffe, Jr. has nearly two decades of experience as an attorney. He practiced law in Manhattan for fifteen years at several brand name firms, representing clients in all manner of cases, transactions, and circumstances. With this knowledge and experience, he relocated full-time to the Hamptons. Tim worked at a local firm for several years before branching out on his own to start OutEastLaw.

Tim has represented clients in all phases of civil litigation in Federal, State and Local courts, from inception to trial to appeal. He has personally handled cases arising out of breaches of contract, breaches of fiduciary duty, intellectual property disputes, personal injuries, insurance disputes, and boundary disputes, among many others.

He has also represented clients in civil and criminal cases in East Hampton Town Justice Court, Southampton Town and Village Justice Courts, and other local courts. He has also represented clients in real estate transactions totaling tens of millions of dollars. Finally, he has extensive contract drafting experience, from corporate and partnership agreements, real estate contracts (purchase and sale agreements, easements, and leases), non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements, and wills and trusts, among others. Tim can use his extensive experience to help you resolve your legal issues.

Personal Statement

Tim grew up in New York City, spending weekends and summers in the Hamptons. At the beginning of his professional career, he came out to the East End as often as possible. In 2013, Tim and Alexandra decided to fulfill their dreams and move to East Hampton full time with their three children, Cameron, Margot and EJ.
